What are bicycle lanes for?
Did you know how much money the bike lane cost?

Now I must begin by saying this is not a hate campaign, it’s really a concern for the welfare of cyclists. As a car user, I must point out that I have certainly used trains, bicycles but predominantly I have used cars to get me to where I need to be. I am allowed; I bought the road tax for them trips. I also legalize myself in case the event happens where I might bump into a another road user. This legal obligation is called as car insurance, which is another largs price that I am forced to pay to use our roadways.
compulsory driving rates going you may be pondering? That’s right you have guessed it. Cyclists! I will say it again I am not against the 2 wheel Victorian Age gizmo. I absolutely understand that it saves these people money and also assists in maintaining their well being. In this green world we live one day I may be forced to play my part and mount a bike, and yes that to is fine . But if that day does come and I am seated on a 2 wheel donkey trust me I will be stuck to the bicycle path.
So much money was paid in this land to build bike tracks over bridges, along dual carriageways and over bypasses. This should be money well spent, all the motors on the road and all the bikes on the bike lane. Hang on though, it isn’t because in this daft land we have no law that penalizes bike riders who insist on not riding along the bike track. You must have witnessed these people, you just start that commute, their is a gridlock of traffic and what’s at the front. A skintight clad businessman riding bike on the road a short distance from the empty cycle lane. Does he need to be there? Does he feel he has a place on the road because the bike he is riding cost more than some peoples used cars. Is the cycle track to smooth and comfortable and he fancies a bit of bumps on the road through his tiny seat. I am not sure of the answer but If I had to bike to work on route with a dual carriageway with trucks and buses on it. Trust me I’d be on the cycle track, it is their so I may as well live longer.
Cyclists don’t pay road tax, so they should not be in my lane slowing me up. He doesn’t pay anyinsurance so if his bicycle scratches my car there isn’t much I can do as I’m not allowed to go after him in my motor when he nips off and jumps onto the scenic bicycle path.
So where does that leave us? It leaves us with my request. Bike riders I respect you, I know people amongst you, I once was you. So please respect me back and ride your bicycle on the bicycle lane, not on the roads goingover the bridge so that all three lanes of cars have to all of a sudden squeeze into justtwo and cause evil tail backs. RoadMy road tax helped pay for your own paths and I want to see them used.
